Midget Jr A - West Mall Lightning Early Bird Champs

With an eye on getting ready for the new season, the Midget A Jr. team entered the West Mall Lightning Earlybird tournament.  Integrating some new players, some “old” returning players and many of the Kraft Cup champions from last year, the team grew into their eventual role as tournament champions.  It was a perfect way to start this new season and the coaching staff is extremely proud of their efforts following some very hard fought games.   Way to go and continued success.

Minor Midget A - Clinches Kraft Cup

Congratulations to the Minor Midget A team who clinched the Kraft Cup with a win over the Vaughan Rangers by a score of 2-1 in a very tight game on Friday, February 24th.

Minor Atom A - Aeros Winter Challenge Champions - January 2017

This past weekend, the Vaughan Panthers Minor Atom A team participated in the Toronto Aeros Winter Challenge Hockey Tournament and were successful in taking home the Championship! They played the first place team from the East Division, Forest Hill, in a very competitive game with the final score of 3-2. The boys played hard and with determination, the coaching staff is extremely proud of them. Congratulations!!!

Atom A - Oshawa Generals Minor Hockey Tournament Champions Dec 11 2016

The Vaughan Panthers were very well represented by the ATOM A hockey team at the Oshawa Generals Minor Hockey Tournament.  The boys took home the Championship.  They played as a team and gave everything they had to win a championship.  The coaching staff also deserves great credit for a job well done.

We defeated the Whitby Wildcats in the Semi-Finals in a 2-1 nail biter, followed by a few hours later we defeated the Leitrim Hawks in the finals by a 3-1 score.  They were both very competitive teams/games.  The boys played their hearts out and gave 100% every shift.

We as a staff are so proud of the boys and we are looking forward to many more championships throughout the year.

Minor Bantam AA Team Donates and Delives to Vaughan Food Bank

On Dec 7, 2016 the Vaughan Panthers Minor Bantam AA hockey donated and delivered over 60 pounds of meat to the Vaughan Food Bank. The food will be used to feed over 150 people in our community during the holiday season.

The Vaughan Food Bank serves over 750,000 meals annually with an operating budget around $100,000.

Minor Atom A Team Participates in City of Vaughan Toy Drive

In the spirit of giving and in support of the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish, the Vaughan Panthers Minor Atom A team participated in the City of Vaughan Toy Drive 2016 this past weekend. Each team member donated an unwrapped toy to help put smiles on children's faces and allow them to enjoy this joyful time of year!

Minor Bantam AA - Challenge Cup - Montreal Nov 10 - 13 2016

The Vaughan Panthers Minor Bantam AA team spent the past weekend, November 10-13‎, in Montreal competing in the 2016/17 Challenge Cup. They finished 3-0-1 at the end of the Round Robin, to secure 1st place and play for Gold. The boys brought it their all to the championship game, and finished on top with a 4-1 victory. In addition to taking home the Challenge Cup, the boys finished first in the Relay Skills competition...so much to be proud of. Congratulations to our Vaughan Panthers, and wishing you the same success in the upcoming Silver Sticks in December!!

Minor Atom AA Participates In Richmond Hill Early Bird

I would like to start off by congratulating the Barrie Colts on their championship win. I would also like the thank the Richmond Hill Hockey association for hosting our team in last weekend's Richmond Hill Hockey Stars AA early bird tournament.
Our Vaughan Panthers Minor Atom AA team made it to the Finals against the Barrie Colts. Final score 4-3 Barrie Colts.  Very close championship game. Our players played with heart and skill and we are so very proud of them. We had a great weekend and we are all very excited for the season to begin.

Minor Bantam AA - Vaughan Early Bird 2016 Champs

This past weekend the Vaughan Panthers Minor Bantam AA played with heart and courage playing with 3 forwards short due to injury in the Vaughan Rangers Early Bird tournament. They advanced to the semis to play a hard fought battle against Ted Reeves. The Panthers were victorious in a double overtime, shoot out game. Next up...the finals against the Mississauga Terriers...end to end hockey, ended in a 3-3 tie at the end of regular time. It remained the same after a 1st overtime. The Panthers were going into double overtime for the second time in the same day, and then into their second shootout in the same day. The boys were once again victorious and crowned the Vaughan Ranger Early bird Champions! Well down boys, and what a great way to enter the upcoming 2016-17 season!!!

Minor Midget A Wins Kraft Cup

The Panthers Minor Midget A team were presented with the Kraft Cup before their first Playoff game last Sunday.  

Congratulations go out to the team for capturing the Kraft Cup for the 2nd consecutive year.  This team finished the season with 60 points and a record of 28-4-4.

Midget Sr A Team Wins Kraft Cup

On February 13^th The Vaughan Panthers Midget Senior A team, coached by Vince Soda, assistant coaches Mario Camilleri, Gerry Borean, Enzo Iafrate and managed by David Castellani, were awarded the Kraft Cup!! Finishing their season with an impressive 57 points and a record of 25-8-4 Hard work, dedication and discipline made it possible. We congratulate the boys on this milestone and achievement. We look forward to the playoffs and wish them the best of luck on the their journey!!

Minor Peewee AA - Silver Stick Champions

The Minor Peewee AA team won the International Silver Stick Tournament
in Newmarket this past weekend Jan 14 to 17.

The team came up strong from the start, finishing first in their round
robin group and then beating Leaside in the semis.

They saved their best performance for the finals beating Compuware
Michigan 4-0 to win the tournament.

Congrats to the boys on a job well done!!!

The Minor Atom AA team won the Toronto Aeros tournament held during the weekend of Janaury 15 to 17, 2016.  The team was 4 and 0 in the round Robin, and won the finals in a shoot out

Minor Atom AA - Newmarket Tournament Champs - Dec 3 to 6, 2015

This past weekend, the Minor Atom AA team won the Newmarket Tournament (Dec 4 to 6).  They won all 5 of our games including winning the championship game 5 to 2.

Minor Peewee AA - 2015 Whitby Silver Stick Regional Champions

The Minor Peewee AA team won the Regional 2015 Whitby Silver Stick Tournament  this past weekend November 26-29.  The boys wrapped up a perfect 6W record, beating Ottawa 2-1 in the finals.

 

The tournament win has earned the team a spot at the International Silver Stick Finals in January 2016.  Congrats to the boys on a job well done and best of luck in January!!!

Minor Bantam AA - Notre Dame Irish South Bend Cup Champs

In early November, the Minor Bantam AA Panthers team travelled to Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana.  It was a tremendous weekend for the boys and their families.  They experienced playing at the Compton Arena, toured the football stadium and the UND campus, and also watched a College hockey game.

In game 3, the Panthers played the Plymouth Stingrays and broke a 2-2 tie with only 4 minutes left to advance to the Final on Sunday.

The team maintained that momentum in the Final game and beat the TNT Tornados by a score of 4-1 to win the Irish South Bend Cup.

Atom A - Pittsburgh Veterans Cup 2015 Tournament Champs

Pittsburgh Veterans Cup 2015 Tournament - Nov 6th to 8th, 2015

It was an exciting finish to this year's Pittsburgh Veterans Cups Tournament for the Vaughan Panthers Atom A team.

The finals proved to be a tight battle for both teams with the Panthers edging the Kitchener Jr Rangers by a score of 2-1 in regulation time to claim the title of Tournament Champs.

Congratulations to our Vaughan Panthers Atom A team for their 2nd tournament championship in the 2015/2016 season.

Minor Atom AA - Three Rivers Cup Champs

The Vaughan Panthers Minor Atom AA team won the Three Rivers Cup this past weekend, October 23 to 25, in Pittsburgh, PA.  The team went 3 and 0 in the round robin and won in the finals 3 to 2 in overtime.
