Minor Atom AA - Three Rivers Cup Champs

The Vaughan Panthers Minor Atom AA team won the Three Rivers Cup this past weekend, October 23 to 25, in Pittsburgh, PA.  The team went 3 and 0 in the round robin and won in the finals 3 to 2 in overtime.

Minor Midget A - Lake Placid, N.Y. Tournament Champs

The Minor Midget A Panthers made it two in a row with a tournament win in Lake Placid, New York this past weekend.

After posting a 2-1-1 record in their round robin games, the Panthers came out on top in the Championship Game with a 2-1 victory over the Orangeville Flyers.

The boys enjoyed the experience and for the final game, had the opportunity to use the same dressing room as the US Hockey Team when they defeated the Soviets in the "Miracle on Ice" for Olympic Gold in 1980.

Minor Midget A - Hillcrest Canadiens Tournament Champs

In early September, this Panthers team won the Hillcrest Canadiens Brian Steele Tournament for the 2nd consecutive year.

After tying the Toronto Aces 3-3 in round robin play, the Panthers beat the Aces in the Semi-Finals 4-1.   They capped it off with a 5-0 win over the Ajax Knights in the Championship Final.
