Minor Atom AA - Newmarket Tournament Champs - Dec 3 to 6, 2015

This past weekend, the Minor Atom AA team won the Newmarket Tournament (Dec 4 to 6).  They won all 5 of our games including winning the championship game 5 to 2.

Minor Peewee AA - 2015 Whitby Silver Stick Regional Champions

The Minor Peewee AA team won the Regional 2015 Whitby Silver Stick Tournament  this past weekend November 26-29.  The boys wrapped up a perfect 6W record, beating Ottawa 2-1 in the finals.

 

The tournament win has earned the team a spot at the International Silver Stick Finals in January 2016.  Congrats to the boys on a job well done and best of luck in January!!!

Minor Bantam AA - Notre Dame Irish South Bend Cup Champs

In early November, the Minor Bantam AA Panthers team travelled to Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana.  It was a tremendous weekend for the boys and their families.  They experienced playing at the Compton Arena, toured the football stadium and the UND campus, and also watched a College hockey game.

In game 3, the Panthers played the Plymouth Stingrays and broke a 2-2 tie with only 4 minutes left to advance to the Final on Sunday.

The team maintained that momentum in the Final game and beat the TNT Tornados by a score of 4-1 to win the Irish South Bend Cup.

Atom A - Pittsburgh Veterans Cup 2015 Tournament Champs

Pittsburgh Veterans Cup 2015 Tournament - Nov 6th to 8th, 2015

It was an exciting finish to this year's Pittsburgh Veterans Cups Tournament for the Vaughan Panthers Atom A team.

The finals proved to be a tight battle for both teams with the Panthers edging the Kitchener Jr Rangers by a score of 2-1 in regulation time to claim the title of Tournament Champs.

Congratulations to our Vaughan Panthers Atom A team for their 2nd tournament championship in the 2015/2016 season.

Minor Atom AA - Three Rivers Cup Champs

The Vaughan Panthers Minor Atom AA team won the Three Rivers Cup this past weekend, October 23 to 25, in Pittsburgh, PA.  The team went 3 and 0 in the round robin and won in the finals 3 to 2 in overtime.

Minor Midget A - Lake Placid, N.Y. Tournament Champs

The Minor Midget A Panthers made it two in a row with a tournament win in Lake Placid, New York this past weekend.

After posting a 2-1-1 record in their round robin games, the Panthers came out on top in the Championship Game with a 2-1 victory over the Orangeville Flyers.

The boys enjoyed the experience and for the final game, had the opportunity to use the same dressing room as the US Hockey Team when they defeated the Soviets in the "Miracle on Ice" for Olympic Gold in 1980.

Minor Midget A - Hillcrest Canadiens Tournament Champs

In early September, this Panthers team won the Hillcrest Canadiens Brian Steele Tournament for the 2nd consecutive year.

After tying the Toronto Aces 3-3 in round robin play, the Panthers beat the Aces in the Semi-Finals 4-1.   They capped it off with a 5-0 win over the Ajax Knights in the Championship Final.

ATOM A - WEST MALL LIGHTNING 2015 EARLY BIRD CHAMPIONS

It was an exciting finish to this year's West Mall Lightning Pre-Season Tournament for the Vaughan Panthers Atom A team.

After completing the round robin with a 4-0 record they met up with Halton Hills in the finals.  The game provided end to end action throughout with the Panthers winning in a shootout to claim the title of Tournament Champs.

Congratulations to our Vaughan Panthers Atom A team for a great start to the 2015/2016 hockey season.

Bantam A - GTHL 'A' Champions

On April 1, the Bantam A team won the GTHL 'A' Championship series against the Applewood Coyotes.

The series was the best of 3 and the team had won the first 2 games with scores of 4-1 and 3-1.

The Bantam A team will be playing in the OHF Championship Series to be held on the weekend of April 10 to 12 at the Meadowvale Arena.

Minor Atom AA - City Champions - 2014-15

The Minor Atom AA Panthers capped off an incredible season winning the GTHL Scotia Bank Championship.  

In the City Championship we faced the North York Knights, who were undefeated in GTHL play throughout the regular season and playoffs.  The first two games of the series ended in tie so each team knew they were in for a battle.  The next three games were hard fought but the Vaughan Panther's came away with close wins in each game to take the series 8-2.

Bantam A - City Champions - 2014-15

The Vaughan Panthers Bantam A team captured the GTHL Championship trophy with a 7-5 points series win against the defending City Champions Toronto Aeros.

It is their 3rd City Championship title in 6 years. A great second half of the season led to a remarkable Playoff run for this team.

Congratulations to the players for their exceptional team play and resiliency.  The memories will last a lifetime.

Midget Jr A Team - Volunteers at Humanity First Food Bank

The Vaughan Panthers Midget Jr A team gave back to their community Feb 1. by volunteering to help out with food sorting and packaging at the Humanity First Food Bank, which provides support to individuals and families in York Region. 

Bantam A - Kraft Cup Champions 2014-15

Congratulations to the Bantam A team, Kraft Cup Champions for 2014-15 season.

Atom AA - 2015 Preston International Atom AA Champs

The Atom AA team won the Preston International Hockey Tournament in Cambridge this past weekend Jan 9 to 11.  Playing to a 3-0-1 round robin and allowing only 1 goal against they advanced to the finals.  The boys  went on to beat the Waterloo Wolves in an exciting and tense nail biter, winning  1-0 in double overtime.
